"The Write Stuff"
   For Your Organization's Writing Needs
If you're looking for a freelance agricultural writer (a.k.a. ag writer, agribusiness writer, agbiz writer, agricultural copyrwriter, or agribusiness copywriter) with a proven track record, there's a pretty good chance I can help. You see, besides being a good writer, I also "get ag"--something of a rare combination in today's world.

    Freelance Agricultural and Agribusiness Writer
For the past fifteen years, I've been helping agribusinesses and farm organizations like yours tell their stories. I also grew up on a grain and livestock farm, was a ten-year 4-H member, am a Purdue grad, own a small farm, raise beef cattle, and help manage my family's home place. You won't have to explain to me that ethanol's not made from sweet corn, or that robotic milkers don't look like R2-D2. I get it, already!

Today, agriculture's story needs told like never before, and I love being one of those who get to help tell it.  I can easily relate to farmers because I have a truckload of shared experiences. But I can also tell agriculture's story in a way that helps the non-farm community understand that meat and milk don't just magically pop up in the supermarket.

When you choose "The Write Stuff" brand, you can have complete confidence that your agrimarketing and PR projects will be done with excellence, on time, on budget, and in a professional and  customer-friendly manner. I've done assignments on an extremely wide range of agricultural topics, with major work in livestock, biofuels, ag financial services, biotechnology, agronomy and conservation.

Some of my very satisfied clients include Monsanto, Farm Credit Mid-America, Indiana Farm Bureau, CountryMark, Farm Progress Companies, POET, CTB, Indiana Soybean Alliance, Indiana Pork, the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, FBi Buildings, Bayer CropScience, and more.  I also write journalistically for Indiana Prairie Farmer, The Farmer's Exchange, and Farm Futures.  (To learn more, please click on the "Writing Samples," or "Testimonials," buttons at left).

I'm also the author of a book, He Made Us Better: A Story of Faith, Family, Friends (and Football), a memoir about our late son Peter.

While I still do (and enjoy) doing some non-ag assignments, agriculture is my passion. It's also an exciting place to be today! As John Denver once said, "Thank God I'm a country boy!"

If any of this sounds like something that could benefit your business or organization, please contact me. I’d love to help you tell your story!

Thanks for visiting, and best wishes to you and your business!

Sincerely,

Darrell
